We decided to stay in the tourist park. $36 for a powered site. No unpowered site in the park. Jam packed. There are spaces for 296 vans. Normally not our thing.

We went to the local autopro shop and managed to find 2 rubber mats for front of van to make it easier to wash off the red dust. Did the historical walk around town.

Went for happy hour at the local pub, The Birdcage (not at all like the movie).

Walked passed a fence with lots of bras.

Next day visit to the Qantas museum.
It was interesting to learn about the history of Qantas and the amazing characters who started it. We learnt a lot about modes of travel around the vast state of Queensland at the time. An idea formed during last few months of World War 1.
